"I'm no longer a slave."
This is the greatest motivation that drives Morgiana to reclaim her future without forgetting the past that is behind her. At a very young age she had been separated from her parents and sold into slavery. Because she was the Fanalis Tribe, she was worth quite a lot of money in the slave market, and ended up as a slave to Jamil. She learned just how cruel life and humans could be by his hands. The wounds on her skin healed over time but the treatment she endured had left permanent scars in her mind.
Her chance for freedom finally came when Goltas, another man who was enslaved by Jamil, had broken her free of her chains, telling her to find her homeland and live her life freely. That had been her first step towards her new future.
Because she had spent so many years as slave, her mentality has left her to feeling extremely insecure about herself. Countless times before she has thought herself useless. It is an obstacle that makes it difficult for her to accept that someone could have any feelings for her, or even think to take her as their empress, which she explaiend to Hakuryuu when he confused to her.
This inferiority complex of hers has only pushed her to do all that she can to be as helpful possible. Both Aladdin and Alibaba are her dearest friends and for them, she would do anything. Her reasoning for traveling with Aladdin, and then with Alibaba later on after Balbadd, it was originally so that she could repay the two for their kindness, as well as for accepting her for who she is. But over the years she grew fond and protective of the two. Aladdin was like a brother to her and Alibaba, well, perhaps something more. She has fought for them, protected them, even knocked some sense and put up with their odd antics (Alibaba more so than Aladdin, surprisingly enough).
Through them she has continued to learn how to slowly, but surely, accept herself. As for when her insecurities will subside to allow her peace, that is something only time will tell. Until then, she holds both her friends and her future close, while doing her best to hide her them. Morgiana is an all around strong and tough young woman and manages to hide those insecurities most of the time. But just like any other person, she is not capable of hiding them forever.
She will have her moments where she can't though. Moments where her emotions will peek through her calm expression without her even realizing it, especially when she lets her guard down. She has shown to express jealousy when Alibaba compliments another girl in her presence or make rather comical puffy-cheek faces when Alibaba teases her or suggested a gift for her. From that much alone one can gather and assume that she may hold certain feelings for the young prince.
The other person to have a powerful impact on her is Masrur. He too is a Fanalis and during her time spent on Sindria, she trained under him. In the time the two spent fighting and sparring with another, it was only natural that she developed a bond with him. He was among the few that would be the closest she had to family in her mind, taking on the role of being an adoptive older brother in her eyes.
Outside of those who know her Morgiana maintains a very polite and quiet demeanor. She also has a habit of being too polite when it comes to thanking others for something as simple as paying for a meal. But again, this circles back to her insecurities of having once been a slave. And the only times she has ever shown her temper was in the cases where those close to her are threatened. Should she find Aladdin or Alibaba in danger, their lives threatened, she will not hold back and beat the ever living shit out of, if not kill, however many people she needs to in order to ensure their safety.
She will always value the lives of those she love over her own.
